2023 Spring Travel Player Assessment Registration


Welcome to the 2023 Spring Travel Player Assessment Registration with the The NorCal Academy.  

This registration will allow you to provide contact information, sign consents and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking account information available. Upon completion of registration a charge will appear on your account.

NorCal Academy - 2023 Spring Travel Player Assessment Registration

This registration will allow you to provide basic information such as; player name, grade, school, level of play and contact information as well as sign a waiver.  This information will be used to help provide a sense of player numbers to expect and the resources that will be needed.  A $20 fee is required to participate in the travel team assessments.  This fee is used to help cover the cost of the gym rental fees and other related expenditures.

Travel Team Information:

o   Player selections will be based on the NCA’s assessment phase and acceptance. 

o  Player assessments (tryouts) for grades 4th to 11th grades will be conducted beginning the week of March 13th .  Times and location to be set soon and listed on the NCA website.  Players will be assessed over two workouts and should expect to attend both.  Additional assessments will be held if necessary to help with proper placement of players on a team.

  Player selections will be announced after the assessment period, generally within a week.

o   It is anticipated that the weekend competitions will begin in early April and continue through the final weekend of May, involving up to 4-6 separate tournaments.

o   In general, training sessions occur twice weekly in the evenings typically Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, unless conflict occurs with a school event.  

o   Please note that costs for the Travel program will depend on the number of players selected to a team and the number of tournaments a team will participate in.  Projected costs for Travel a travel player will be $700-$1000 / player, once a player accepts her selection to a team. The cost covers 20 team workouts (equal to Academy level fee of $325), plus amounts to offset fees associated with tournaments, AAU card and related expenditures.  

  Uniforms will be a separate and additional cost to each player.

  If a player is selected to participate on a travel team an additional registration will be provided for payment.  When necessary, a payment plan consisting of (4) separate installments may be offered during the Travel team registration process.

NOTE: Players not selected to a Travel Team may have the option of joining the Academy program after assessments provided there is enough interest.
