This registration will allow you to provide basic information such as; player name, grade, school, level of play and contact information. This information will be used to help provide a sense of player numbers to expect and the resources that will be needed. No fee is required to participate in the travel team assessments.
Travel Team Information:
o Player selections will be based on the NCA’s assessment phase and acceptance.
o Player assessments (tryouts) for grades 4th to 11th grades will begin the week of March 9th. Times to be set soon and listed on the NCA website. Assessments will occur in the evenings of March 10th (Tue) and March 12th (Thur) at a location and time to be determined (based on grade level and will be listed on the NCA website). Players should expect to attend all both assessment dates.
o Player selections will be announced after the assessment period, generally within a week.
o It is anticipated that the weekend competitions will begin in early April and continue through the final weekend of May, involving up to 5 separate tournaments.
o In general, training sessions occur Tuesday & Thursday evenings, unless a conflict occurs with a school event.
o Please note that costs for the Travel program are greater than the Academy level and should be considered ahead of time. Projected costs for Travel will be $630 per player, once a player accepts her selection to a team.
o The cost covers 20 team workouts (equal to Academy level fee of $280), plus amounts to offset fees associated with tournaments, uniforms, AAU cards, and related expenditures.
o When necessary, a payment plan consisting of (3) separate installments may be offered, as follows: 1st payment ($300) due at time player has been selected; 2nd payment ($230) due by April 15th; 3rd ($100) final payment due by May 15th. Questions can be forwarded to the NCA Administration.
NOTE: Players not selected to a Travel Team have the option of joining the Academy program after assessments.
